Nicolas Barbot
Nicolas Barbot received the M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. degree from the University de Limoges, France in 2010 and 2013 respectively. His Ph.D. work in Xlim Laboratory was focused on error-correcting codes for the optical wireless channel. He also realized a post-doctoral work in joint source-channel decoding at L2S Laboratory, in Gif-sur-Yvette, France.

La journée scientifique 2024 du LCIS a eu lieu le jeudi 23 mai à l’IUT de Valence.
Elle portait la thématique du développement socialement équitable et de son application dans nos recherches.
IEEE RFID conference Best Journal Paper Award 2024
During the IEEE RFID conference held at the Media Lab at MIT in Boston, USA, Associate Professor HDR Nicolas Barbot was honored with the James Clerk Maxwell Best Journal Paper Award 2024 for the paper “Simple Low-Cost Open-Source UHF RFID Reader”, coauthored with Raymondo de Amorim Jr. and Pavel Nikitin.
This prestigious distinction recognizes the best JRFID paper published between 2021 and 2023, selected from over 200 submissions.

Daniel Thirion
Daniel THIRION began as an apprentice student as ESISAR and STMicroelectronics, integrating the team of Jean-Marc DAVEAU, working on various projects surrounding Safety (SoC design and integration, fault injection platform, FPGA implementations). At the end of his studies, he integrated teams at Frontgrade Gaisler, as a designer on fault injection methods. After graduating in 2023, he started a PhD, working along his previous team at STMicroelectronics and joined LCIS (Vincent BEROULLE, David HELY, Valentin EGLOFF) on a collaboration between the two worlds of Safety and Security for embedded devices.

Visite des plateaux par des lycéens du Lycée Triboulet
Jeudi 14 mars après midi, un groupe de 15 lycéens de 2nde option SL (Sciences et Laboratoire) du Lycée Triboulet de Romans-sur-Isère, accompagnés par 2 enseignant(e)s de Physique-Chimie, sont venus visiter le laboratoire dans le cadre d’une projet soutenu par le fonds UGA Vittorio Luzzati.
